Baton Bob on Baton Bob

What was your childhood like in your hometown?

My childhood life was pretty exciting!  I grew up on a small farm and it was never a dull moment.  With cows, chickens and pigs to take care of---there's always an adventure.

How was Baton Bob born?

The Baton Bob character evolved right after the 9-11 tragedy.  It arose from an antidote that I received from a therapist to fight depression.

Do you feel he has been there all along, waiting to burst out?

Probably, I have always had dreams of becoming an entertainer; ever since I was a toddler.

What makes you call Atlanta "home"?

Atlanta was the first major city that I moved to from my hometown in 1979, and I lived in The ATL until 1990, then returned in 2004.

What inspires you?

Doing anything positive to make a difference in the world.

Where have you been, everyone has missed you!

I took two years off to take care of some personal family business and to rescue my mother from a terrible situation.  Remind you:  I am an only child!

How did your time in St. Louis help shape your future?

St. Louis just happened to be where I was living when the character evolved.  I had owned and managed my own floral design service (The Floral Architects, inc.) and when I started my second career as a flight attendant, I was trained and based in St. Louis with Trans World Airlines.
